Cbanker says works on instant arrest of client money taken abroad

MAGNITOGORSK, Chelyabinsk Region, Feb 13 (PRIME) -- The central bank plans to sign an agreement with the Federal Financial Monitoring Service to receive information needed to suspend and freeze unsanctioned client money transfers abroad instantly, Deputy Chairman Dmitry Skobelkin told reporters Tuesday.

“There are closed channels of instant information transmission,” Skobelkin said.

“We plan to sign a corresponding agreement soon for that if financial means are stolen in this or other way, we track their way in the banking system, try to stop and freeze them on accounts of foreign credit organizations with the Federal Financial Monitoring Service to return them to the owners.”

He said that the financial monitoring service has already agreed to cooperate.
